SPAIN - The Euro 2008 champions!

After a duration of a month or maybe shorter than that, the euro 2008 champions are finally revealed!

SPAIN 1-0 GERMANY

One of the best feeling in the world! I've got so much to say, but I dun even know where to start!
The joy is just undescribable!

Xiong doesnt get me either. 'What do you get from them winning?' he asked.
Hehe.. Let me tell you, I supported this team from the very beginning of the tournament and I never once changed my decision in supporting Spain.

I faithfully posted most of their journey of the tournament.
Spain v Russia 4-1
Spain v Sweden 2-1 (i was having exams. O_o)
Spain v Greece 2-1 (having exams also. O_o)
Spain v Italy 4-2 on penalties
Spain v Russia 3-0

Many came up to me and gave me "words of encouragement" such as...

'Spain under-achievers la, sure cannot go thru q-finals!'
'Spain lucky only la..'
'You support Spain because got good-looking guys only'
'Germany are gonna trash you!'

This is for you, SPAIN ARE THE CHAMPIONS.
Fluke? *rolls eyes* Plse.
You are just jealous that Spain gotta BOTH the looks and skills.

Anyway,



This was at stake in the game yesterday night!
The euro08 trophy! Super the glamour. I want! =D



Spain and Germany, the two finalists for this year's match!
I went out for a mamak session with Christine and some of the guys.
I practically forced Kane to come and fetch us to watch. Haha.. He was so tired.
Poor guy!
But it was fun! With xiong taking pics and still figuring the beauty of the game. =D

It started with the Germans having most of the possession for the first 15 minutes.
I was super nervous ok. I kept pinching Daniel! Hahahaha...
Especially when Germany had a shot in the 5th min or something.
CRAZY! Heart attack to the maximum!

After that, Spain just had it.
They had more possesion, they had control, they had superb skills and strategy...

and we end up with this at the 33rd minute!

During the game. It was a game filled with chances for Spain but failed to deliver with an occasional strikes from Germany.
Come on la, we totally deserve this win man! Germany was totally tak semangat!!

At the end of 92 minutes, we made it! WE WON!
WE ARE CROWNED CHAMPIONS!

I was screaming like crazy in the mamak! Totally unlady-like!

That one goal was sufficient to seal the victory!

Spain rushed out to the field when the whistle was blown, celebrating with their team-mates and coach!
Ran to the fans and danced with them.
I watched the live match and watched it again just now! hahaha..



Germans in despair. Aww.. Nvm la, try next time. lol.



Michael Ballack, the Germany skipper. Poor him.
He was in 2nd place for the euro08, champions league07/08, EPL 07/08 and in World Cup02.
Super frustrating lor.
I feel sorry for him. Oh well. =P





Iker Casillas, the Spain captain, became the first goalie captain to lift the trophy in the Euro history!
What a wonderful feeling for him!
I can so feel him. lol.

It was a fantastic final! I was hoping to see more goals like 3-0 or something, but I guess it doesnt matter since Spain won it.

Ok la, the Germans deserve some credit for reaching to the finals.
They beat Portugal and the comeback kings, Turkey to reach this far.

Best of all, their managers are kinda hot!!!!

The Euro08 finally comes to a close and I'm gonna miss this man.

The top scorer, David Villa with 4 goals came from Spain.
Spain remains the only team unbeaten in the tournament.
Spain had the most goals scored in the tournament.
Spain is the 2nd youngest team after Russia.
EVERYTHING ALSO SPAIN! Chun leh?

Undeniably, they did play consistently throughout the competition.

They silenced critics that they are not called the under-achievers, but winners!
They broke the voo-doo of 22nd June by defeating Italy.
They broke the superstition that they will never win with a yellow jersey against Russia.


Truly, it's SPAIN'S YEAR.
I'm gonna miss euro08 but it brought me so much joy.
Football, the sport that I really really love.
